Dave makes a run at the lead

As I sat comfortably with a 7 game lead going into week 15, Dave does a sneak attack on me!!!
Dave went on to win 13 games so far this week against my 7. So now my lead is down to 1 Game...
He did a great job of winning those 13 games but we both have Indy tonight so I go into week 17 with a 1 game lead.
NEW RULE
I no longer except calls from Famington, NY(or where ever you live).
Until tomorrow.

thursday,s pick

Alright, I am having a hard time over Thursday's game. But I have thought it out. My method might be wrong but I'll still use it. Seattle will cover the spot. They will win their division, with a win, and bury the team that might challenge them, all in one night. So give me Seattle at home giving 9.5 points.

YMCA

I was just talking to Buster and he asked me a question.
He said that we hear the song YMCA , by the Village People, when we watch baseball, but we never hear it when we watch
football and he wanted to know why.
I told him that it must be because of TV time outs.
But does any one know the real reason?

Joe's Thursday pick

OK, I'll try not to ramble too much, here goes.
Baltimore is a 3 point dog on the road.
Since Billick fired Fassel (5 games ago) Baltimore has won All five times. A win over Cincy should give them the title in that conference. Baltimore on the road this year as a dog are 4-1. In their Div. with no spread their 3-0. As road dogs their 2-1 but have covered 4 of the last 5 games.
Cincy has a record of 2-3 at home with no spread. In the div. they are 3-1. And I think they covered the spread only 5 times this year ( I don't want to look that up ). So I'll take Baltimore with 3 points.
But who knows?
I forgot to mention the pass rating of McNair, before Billick took over play calling McNair's pass rating was 64.7. In the last 5 games it's 99.1.

Well it was a good week for some members. Rich, Joe R, Jim R, Jim A, had 10 winners this week. Never have we had 4 winners going into Monday's game. Two of them will have 11 wins unless there's a push tonight.
Rules change this week. The leader will post his picks ether Friday or Saturday. So you can try to go head to head against him, to catch up. I'll try to post my picks Friday after work.
Good luck to all tonight, except Rich and Jim and anyone else who picked Seattle.

Rant

How can T.O. get away with his Rantings on the sidelines?
I'll tell you how, even though Parcells, is known as a disciplinarian, He acts the same as T.O.
Who has not seen Parcells, yell at a player during a game, on the sidelines, even if the player was walking away from him. The two are the same, both want to win and both don't know when to keep their mouth shut.
So Dallas has a problem and the owner is on TO's side, because TO is a play maker. So I wish Dallas luck (sure I do).

New Leader

Jackic, last year's winner, has taken over the lead, with a 10 and 3 week. She is now 34 and 24. Thats is better then some of the sports books. This is an odd stat: if your last name starts with an R, you are doing good , execpt for 2 and Colleen is concidered an R (nee ).
Now for some good stats: Carolina has not covered yet. Miami the same. The same goes for Zona.
New Orleans is the only team that has covered every week. Some BIG spots this week, like 18 and a half(Tenn). So good luck all.

2 IT'S CALLED WINNING %, so the push counts as a LOSS.
Hope everyone understands it now.

Joe

Buff chances this week

The Bill are only scoring 33% from inside there red zone, not to good. Minn. just lost a heart breaker. So I think it will be a close game. The Bills will pass the ball too many times again and will have turn overs. I'm taking the Bills but would not advise anyone else to. Good news for Jim R, I'm NOT taking the Giants this week (Bye ). Well week 3 was a bad one, Jim A was locked out of all the Sunday's games. Rant

Buff is home this week and is the favorit. Now I don't know if they will cover. Why you ask? Well they have played a run game, except for the last part of the game against New Eng. But now it is their home opener and they might think that they are better then they are. So I think they will pass more and pass deeper then they should. They have not had a turn over yet, so I think 2 in week's game. Maybe both from passes. And is this the last year for Willis? We will have to wait till Sunday for the first one and next year for the second one.

What's going on in Buff, they play a good game at New England and beat Miami both on the road. Could this be a better then a 500 team?
Mulerky(?) did more for Buff sunday then when he was their coach, with his play calling.
Rich is going into tonights game with a 12 and 3 score and he is the winner this week. Rich will not be in first place after tonight do to bad luck last week. We have to keep a eye on him. Every one did good this week, with 1 game to go. No one will be under 500 this weekend nomater the outcome of tonights game.
I have to ask, could the Giants play any later in a game then they did sunday? Where was that team i the first half?

Is the special teams in Buff that good?
Is Miami that bad?
What will Green Bay do?

OK, I know this post is not about football. Jackic just called toto tell me that the Yankees are changing to Scranton, She herd Bob M. on the radio. Well don't belive Bob. I called Bob and it's a strong rummer. Let me tell you the facts; George has ties to Ohio State U. and his hie wife lives in Clambus Ohio and he lives in Tampa Fl. (I wish I had that arragnement) What is the only reason For the Yankees to move to Scranton Pa. ? Travel money. As if the Yankeees can't afford a plane ticket. RANT

How can Dallas stay with Drew? Bill P ( I hate that man, not for beating Buff, but what he said after the game ) has got to do something about his boy. Drew. Bill has to know that, Drew is not a winning QB. If he dosn't know after last week, T.O., will tell him soon. Looks like a fun time in Dallas.
Can Buff win in Miami? I think they can or at least cover. They will have to run the ball more. More then they they did in the second half of last week's game.
The Giants never cover when I take them. Good tip to remember.
Me going 8 and 8 last week is a big let down. If I went 4 and 12 well thats a run of bad luck. If I went 12 and 4 then i'm GOOD. But Going 8 and 8 I could do that by picking teams out of a hat.
Now I know i'm not the brightest color cryon in the box, but I had Green Bay winning outright last week. They have been home dogs at only 4 times in the last 10 years and they covered every time untill Sunday.
And can anyone tell me why the NFL played a game at 10:30 Mondat night.

Well Dave and I are going for a perfect season. I'm sorry that evert one thought that a QB that limps was ok to play. Better luck sunday. This is the ATS, so you have to do better.
I just love being in the lead.

All the picks are in, only 2 people took Pitt., Dave and guess who. ME, Miami has a QB that limps onto the field (now I limp too, but I can take viagra and i'm all right). Miami has been over hyped. Now Miami has a good team but Pitt is the superbowl winners. Pitt is at home and it's their HOME opener and the NFL opener. The way I see it is that friday morning David and I will be leading the ATS. See you friday

Big Ben is out. The sports writers are saying "he will be back next week" (bull sh-t). He was in an accedent 2 months ago and now he has his stomic cut. He will not be back untill the middle of the season, if then.
But Miami is getting 1 point as of now. I want to ask HOW. Even the NFL has no idea who is Ben's back up.
Miami is a good team ( Joe's thinking). They should win out right. But I see bets the other way, THAT is what makes the ATS.

Football stares this week. Hope you got my email. Sports at this time of the year is great with baseball (the Yankees V anybody) and Football going at the same time, what more could ask for. Good luck.
